I grew up in South Carolina, spending most of my summers at the beach. While in college in North Carolina, I discovered the outer banks and have brought my husband and two daughters here for over 30 years. Although we live full time in Chevy Chase, Maryland, we have been fortunate enough to have a vacation home in Carolina Dunes for approximately 20 years, recently completing a new home to accommodate our growing family. We are now bringing out two grandsons here, and hope they will learn to love our community as much as we do. I am happy to be serving of the board of CDA, and welcome any comments or suggestions from our homeowners.

Vicki and Joe Hatch have a long standing connection to the Carolina Dunes community. Joe's parents built their house on Buffell Head in 1979. After a major rehab in 2005, they have rented their house from Memorial Day to Labor Day. They live in Virginia Beach and are frequently in Duck during the off season. Vicki was a mortgage banker for 25 years and now assists Joe in managing their commercial real estate.

Ben and Denise Haynes have been vacationing in the Outer Banks for years. They loved the area so much that they completed construction of their home off of Duck road in 2022. They now split their time between Duck and Jacksonville, FL, with the plan of eventually retiring in Duck full time. Ben is currently working towards semi-retirement and spending more time in Duck. I love the area and I am looking forward to spending more time participating in our local community...
