Ron and Rosemary Blunck rent their homes on Canvasback Drive, Duck Road and Widgeon Drive and have been members of the community since 1984. They live in Maryland and visit frequently, having joked that their car "knows the way to the beach" without any intervention from them.

The Outer Banks has a special meaning to our hearts, we used to spend vacations there since long time ago while  residing in Fairfax, VA.  In 2009, we acquired an old property on the sound, it has been demolished and rebuild in a Mediterranean style to become our family dream home, a real relaxing and healing place with a wonderful garden, which I love and spend long hours tending to it and to the surrounding environment, including the nearby public beach.  Duck has tons of Nature treasures,  we do our best in the simplest ways to protect it and to boost its value. It is an honor to volunteer and serve our community.

I grew up in South Carolina, spending most of my summers at the beach. While in college in North Carolina, I discovered the outer banks and have brought my husband and two daughters here for over 30 years.  Although we live full time in Chevy Chase, Maryland, we have been fortunate enough to have a vacation home in Carolina Dunes for approximately 20 years, recently completing a new home to accommodate our growing family. We are now bringing out two grandsons here, and hope they will learn to love our community as much as we do. I am happy to be serving of the board of CDA, and welcome any comments or suggestions from our homeowners.
